ONE TT has built out a structure to ensure a framework of good governance and strategic action so that the work executed is strategically aligned to international trends and needs specific to Trinidad & Tobago in its existing overall climate at any point in time.

The Governance Committee (GC)

The role of the GC is to govern ONE TT and to promote ONE TT’s interests in the pursuit of its objectives. The GC does this by setting strategic direction and context and focusing on issues critical to the ONE TT’s success

Senior Advisory Group (SAG)

ONE TT is supported by an independent Senior Advisory Group that brings the following:

  • Unique knowledge and skills which augment the GC’s knowledge and skills to more effectively guide the organization
  • A repository of information including data at acceptance and research tiers
  • Specific knowledge on the approaches to the provision of governance assistance, international and regional quasi-governmental and private-sector research and resource support, policy guidance and lobbying to facilitate and catalyze implementation of the project
  • Unique perspectives on whether relevant outcomes are appropriately raised for incorporation into other national policy processes, programs, and national actions
  • Technical guidance on the project through advice and any support necessary to catalyze the implementation of projects.
  • Capacity as a frank and constructively critical sounding board to the GC in the process of agreement and sign-off on final sector group recommendations

External Communications and Visualisation

This integrated team is responsible for developing and delivering internal and external communication via various media to generate public awareness and interest in ONE TT, encourage membership, and ensure an ongoing flow of information to key stakeholders, based on the output from the ONE TT efforts.

Administration and Membership Committee (MC)

This team is primarily responsible for the recruitment of new members using the guidelines stipulated and the criteria set out for both ONE TT core team members and sector group candidates. This team is also responsible for assuring that members and prospective members adhere to ONETT’s expectations and codes of conduct inclusive of Conflicts of Interest.

Project Planning and Tracking

This team, in liaison with the GC, is responsible for oversight and monitoring of the work being carried out by the sector groups and for updating and managing the parent ONE TT work scope and project Gantt chart. Change to scope and project progress.

Financial and Professional Conduct

This team will assume the responsibility for accounting and finance inclusive of Fundraising, maintaining financial records, and reporting to ONETT and external stakeholders as well as regulatory compliance with the requirements of the Non-Profit Act of Trinidad & Tobago.

Sector Groups

The sector groups are the key drivers behind our development planning under Pillar 4 and will design options and recommendations for their specific sector/area of focus that is consistent with ONE TT’s overall purpose. These will be guided by approved strategic objectives and actions specific to that group.

The sector groups’ approach involves engaging appropriate technical experts (External Sector Specialists), whose roles include providing a review of strategic focus and development of effective strategies to address sectoral systems and service delivery challenges and improve results, program quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
